About Me
Hi, I’m Angel Cruz—a Data Science student at UC Berkeley with an emphasis in Economics. I’ve always been fascinated by how things work, from optimizing computers as a kid to analyzing economic trends and solving complex problems through data. Now, I apply that same curiosity and problem-solving mindset to uncover insights, build models, and develop data-driven solutions.
Currently, I work as a tutor and mentor at RISE, where I help underrepresented children develop their academic skills and confidence. Teaching has strengthened my ability to break down complex concepts, adapt to different learning styles, and support others in their growth—skills that translate directly into data science and problem-solving. Outside of work and academics, I’m constantly honing my skills through personal projects, coursework, and hands-on experience in data analysis, machine learning, and statistical modeling. I believe that data has the power to drive meaningful change, and I’m passionate about using technology to create innovative solutions. Im also a creative at heart. I enjoy cooking, drawing, and photography, all of which help me see the world from different perspectives and sharpen my attention to detail. Whether I’m debugging code, analyzing datasets, or capturing the perfect shot, I’m always looking for new ways to explore, create, and grow. I’m always open to new opportunities, collaborations, and conversations—feel free to reach out!
